For Boys & Girls in the West and South Kootenays

  • Open to ALL athletes
  • Teams in Nelson, Trail, Castlegar, and Rossland
  • Exposure to high level competition throughout BC
  • Tryouts March 3-14 (hosted in Nelson/Castlegar)
  • Practice days TBA (2x 90 min Practice per week)
  • Online registration closes February 24th
  • NCCP-educated coaches
  • Coaching positions still available for select age groups

2025 Upcoming Schedule

Kootenay Chill 2025 rosters will be selected no later than March 21st, with practices starting the week of March 31st. Teams will have options to compete in the following:

  • Thompson-Okanagan Basketball League (TOBL)

  • Inaugural Kootenay Chill Host exhibition tournament (Nelson) – Dates TBA

  • Lakeside Legends Tournament (Penticton) – April 26-28

  • TRU Wolfpack Tournament (Kamloops) – May 2-4

  • Rally in the Valley Tournament (Creston) – May 9-11

  • River City Classic (Kamloops) – May 17-18

  • OC Summer Showdown (Kelowna) – May 23-25 (U11-U15) & May 30-June 1 (U16-U18)

  • Okanagan Heat Hoopfest (Kelowna) – July 5-6

  • Other potential competition/tournament options in Cranbrook, Merritt, Kelowna, and Kamloops

Registration costs will be determined on a team-by-team basis and based on selected competitions.
